Smart-thermostat problems almost always trace back to one of three things: a missing C-wire, a thermostat configured for the wrong equipment type, or a heat pump being wired like a straight AC. The thermostat itself is rarely the issue.
We pull the old unit, label every wire, check whether the existing wiring supports the new device, and either run a new C-wire or install an add-a-wire transformer if needed. Then we configure the thermostat correctly for your system, whether that’s single-stage, two-stage, heat pump with electric backup, or dual-fuel with a gas furnace and a heat pump.
Before we leave, we walk you through the thermostat, the app, schedules, and away mode. You won’t be reading a manual after we go.
